Centre for Child Rights Advocacy, Institute of Law, Nirma University in association with Gujarat State Child Protection Society, Gandhinagar, organized a One Day Orientation Programme for Judicial Officers on Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 on May 1, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The programme was organized to discuss and lay emphasis upon the role and function of Juvenile Justice Boards and Children’s Courts and other provisions of Act with special reference to Child in conflict with law and other crimes against children and preliminary assessment of juvenile under the Act to help in effective implementation of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. The Programme was attended by 27 Principal Magistrate of Juvenile Justice Boards, 25 Presiding Officers of Children’s Court from Gujarat State, 20 UNICEF & GSCPS Officials and 12 academicians.
